Preliminary Round Results

Harpsichord

41 candidates altogether from the following countries applied to the harpsichord competition: Czech Republic (5), France (2), Italy (2), Japan (4), Canada (1), Republic of Korea (3), Hungary (7), Poland (5), Russia (9), Spain (1), Ukraine (2).

Number of candidates qualifying for the 1st Round is limited to 50 candidates (approximately). All registered candidates have met the requirements given for the Preliminary Round. Considering both the latter and the low number of enrolled candidates, the Competition Committee has decided to accept all registered candidates.

Cello

134 candidates altogether from the following countries applied to the cello competition: Andorra (1), Armenia (2), Belarus (1), Czech Republic (14), China (3), Denmark (1), Finland (1), France (12), Georgia (1), Honk Kong SAR (1), Chile (1), Japan (9), Canada (4), Kazakhstan (1), Republic of Korea (26), Hungary (4), Mongolia (1), Germany (12), the Netherlands (1), Norway (1), Poland (10), Russia (12), Greece (1), Slovenia (1), Serbia (1), Spain (1), Taiwan R.O.C. (2), Ukraine (1), the US (4), Uzbekistan (1), United Kingdom (2), Venezuela (1).

On the basis of anonymous evaluation of recordings and general conditions and requirements, the Competition Committee has selected 59 candidates qualifying for the 1st Round.
