There is huge interest this year in the Prague Spring’s opening concerts featuring the Vienna Philharmonic, and tickets were sold out soon after they went on sale. For this reason, like last year, the festival is presenting an open-air screening of the concert in the romantic setting of Prague’s Kampa park.
On Friday 12 May an accompanying programme will be under way at 5pm involving a series of young artists participating in the ZUŠ Open project, and the lively percussion ensemble NeoPercussio, along with music documentaries brought to you by Czech Television. The evening will be hosted by a familiar face from Czech Television, presenter, actor and director Honza Adámek. The event will be held whatever the weather. We recommend bringing a blanket or rug with you for sitting on the grass. You’ll be able to purchase tasty picnic refreshments directly on site! Free admission.
The screening is held with the support of the festival’s General Partner – CETIN a.s., Czech Television and CzechTourism agency.
The opening concert will also be broadcast live to nine cinemas across the Czech Republic (Hradec Králové, Hodonín, Chomutov, Jablonec nad Nisou, Kopřivnice, Lišov, Most, Náchod, Velké Přílepy). Free admission.
